I am a computer programmer living in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. I previously worked on Openverse, a search engine for openly licensed media and part of the WordPress project. It is the successor to CC Search and my work on it was sponsored by Automattic until October 2024 when I left the company.
I maintain the popular Python testing library for mocking HTTP requests, pook
. Openverse uses the library, and after learning the creator the library was no longer able to dedicate time towards the project, I offered my help. Pook now sees regular releases with significant new version (like support for additional HTTP client libraries) and receives an increased number of merged contributions from other users of the library.
I also proactively seek ways to contribute features, bug fixes, and other improvements to other F/OSS projects, contributions which can be seen on my GitHub account.
When I am not working, my interests are in photography, music, cooking, and reading.
I am currently looking for employment, please reach out to me using the details on my contact page if you have something in mind for which I may be a good fit.
